Finding it hard to interact with other dogs, people or a particular environment?
Distressed when left alone?
Understanding these behaviours All of the above are indicators of stress in your dog's life. Identifying the cause of this stress can be complex and if not addressed correctly can lead to further unwanted behaviours. Lindsy helps owners understand the root cause of behaviour problems, offering solutions based on appropriate care and responsible management.
Lindsy is strongly against the use of aversive techniques to override unwanted behaviours. She believes that suppressing behaviour through fear is unethical and only leads to further complications. Instead she promotes training based on positive reinforcement rather than any form of punishment. Private Consultation Every dog is unique and each dog deserves individual care and attention. Therefore Lindsy offers private consultations focusing on how to help your dog restore a balanced happy life.
Lindsy is looking to assess your dog's mental and emotional outlook, what might trigger stressful responses and what aspects of daily life it may find difficult to cope with. Seeing your dog in its home surroundings is preferable. However if this isn't possible, arrangements can be made to see your dog at a Veterinary practice or Lindsy will see you privately at her home near Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.
Holistic Approach Alongside her work as a dog behaviourist, Lindsy has worked for the past 25 years in the field of complementary therapy for animals. She believes that this holistic approach can be extremely beneficial when helping dogs overcome behavioural problems. This work is optional and can be introduced at any time if necessary.
Contact Lindsy If you would like to discuss with Lindsy how she can make a positive difference to the wellbeing of your dog please feel free to contact her. Every dog is different and she will take the time to discuss the possibilities of helping you in whatever way she can.
